send page or link-from address

by Tomyahoo / June 11, 2007 12:16 AM PDT

Recently changed e-mail from RoadRunner to web based Yahoo Plus. Often I want to send a page or link and clik the Page item on the Toolbar. An e-mail compose form pops up-but the from address is that of the "old", the RoadRunner e-mail address.
This is not desirable as is confusing to the addressees expecting to find the new address of yahoo.com. Leads some to reply or return e-mail with that page or link message address, no longer my e-mail address.
How do I get that association changed? so that when a page or link is sent the new address from yahoo.com is the from address in the message?

using Yahoo-mail plus
Internet Explorer

Thank you
Tom

Not sure this will work

Go to internet options

click on programs

click on the drop down arrow and see if Yahoo mail plus is an option. If so, then change it. If not, did you consider using Outlook Express or Mozilla Thunderbird as you email client? These programs can be setup to use Yahoo Mail Plus.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Rick

Internet/programs/e-mail does not include Yahoo; does include OE and Windows Live Mail. Would guess OE as it is part of Internet Explorer-don't know why the other, have not used the Live Mail.
Trying to find out in Yahoo help or discussion why it not in the drop down, not productive.
Have not considered Thunderbird, always OE or at least for many many years. Did use Firefox for about a year-then a number of problems and back to IE.
Appreciate your time-the only response is yours.
Had tried to POP Yahoo Mail Plus before. Messages do come to OE fine. It results in an error in OE because at least with my RR it does not like the Yahoo from address in send mail and gives up an error message and fails to send.
Soooo-don't know how to change the association yet-but will try to find the solution
thank you again

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
