Question

Selecting options in AOL Mail

Sep 23, 2015 8:55PM PDT

When I used to open attachments there was always a drop down box asking what I wanted to do. Such as download, open the document or save the document. There was also a box to check if I always wanted to do this. I almost always want to open the document. But one time I downloaded a document and inadvertently checked the box to always do this. Now I want to open attachments but they always download and I can't find out how to change this. The drop down box no longer appears.

Selecting options in AOL Mail

The version of Windows is 8.1. Does this make a difference? The problem I am having is with the AOL software.

The computer is an Asus N75V. Core I-7, 8 Gigs memory and 2 TB hard drive. It is about two years old. Thank you for your interest.
