...and see what they have to offer. Some types of cell phones are able to be used as modems, which can then be connected to your laptop. Generally, they tend to be a little slower than standard wi-fi but it should work for your needs.

Connect to the internet using your cell phone and laptop computer
Hope this helps.

I am looking for a way to connect my laptop to the internet while away from the office and possibly away from areas with wi-fi cover. I understand that you can use the mobile phone networks, but I have no idea where to start so I am looking for any advice people can offer. Ideally I would want to access emails and download/upload 10mb files from and too the office server. Connecting to the office via the internet is already in place, so it is purely the laptop hardware issues I need advice on.
I'm in the UK/Europe, so no need for specific phone companies (although any suggestions would be most welcome), I'm really just after a starting point as to what technology I should be looking at and whether this is even a viable option considering the file sizes.
Thanks in advance
