While this worked OK back in standard definition days, today's USB Tuners are mostly HD so you're not quite there. I'd like to see about a 2GHz Core2Duo and a video card of the Nvidia 610 or better class.
It should be fine for audio but if you want some USB tuner it would be for your country. Since that was left out, I'll supply the best sellers on Amazon here.

Look at those 39 dollar USB sticks.
Hi,
I have an old Desktop PC. Configuration:
Processor - Intel Pentium 4
Ram - 1 GB
Hard drive - 250 GB
Monitor - 14" TFT
OS - Windows XP & Ubuntu dual boot
(Let me know if you need any further information)
I want to use it as a TV mainly. Otherwise it will not be used in any heavy performance tasks... Just routine home entertainment (playing movies and songs) and web-surfing.
One thing I am sure is I have to install a TV tuner.
1. I want to know what kind of tuner will be good for it.
2. and whether it will be able to perform as a TV or not.
3. Please suggest what kind of upgrades I'd need.
ps: My budget is as small as possible ![]()
