Seeing my CD drive ..all the time..how?

Nov 1, 2004 1:41PM PST

I'm running Win xp and have a problem with My CD burner?

The computer runs fie, but it doe snot see the CD burner or any CD unless we re-boot the computer first.

Once the computer is re-booted, the CD drive is recognized.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

We are running CD creator version 6 on this..Does that make any difference?

Thanks!
Al

6 shouldn't make a difference if it was working ok.
Do you do a shutdown and restart or "restart"? The difference being that a restart bypasses some bios startup stuff.

alkaye

If you are speaking of windows explorer not
seeing the device? Or the application to burn?

Does this occur when you have a R/W disk in the unit?

Or after you have burned a disk?

If so then your Burning application is taking over.
CD creator ver6 = Roxio?
