Somewhat annoying. I have 3 issues and I think they could be connected.

Recently upgraded to 7. Everything seemed OK for a couple of weeks until I noticed the continual occurence of the KB979683 update. Windows update history insists that this was installed successfully as are all the previous over the 2 weeks. The installed updates menu says none are installed. Which to believe?

I seem to be only able to maintain restore points for 2 days. Its as though the restore point created on update deletes previous non update created rps? Current usage in system protection is 797.73MB. Max usage set at 4% 2.4 GB. (I increased this myself from, I think I remember, 1%)

Tried to install Flight Simulator X. I believe the vcredist.exe on the installation DVD is not running Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. Maybe because I am in fact missing a required update?

Grateful if any one has any ideas. The most annoying part is I'm lacking the practice in crashing.

Cheers John
