Security update for Windows XP

by Gerald Gibbons / April 30, 2004 10:10 PM PDT

Each time I turn my computer on I am told that there are new updates to install. This is Security update for Windows XP no.KB835732. I have installed this several times and the file appears in the Windows folder but I am still getting the new update message. How can I cancel this.

Turn off automatic updates. It is easy to check for updates while online. I don't have anything set to update automatically. I want the control you have by doing it manually.
