Is it safe to purchase internet security software through Amazon? The prices can be so much cheaper but are you buying the real things?

Amazon is well-known. It's very unlikely they sell fake software.

Security software through Amazon

Thanks. The reason I asked is that a few years ago I got Norton through Amazon and I had a couple of major problems immediately... but that was probably Norton and not Amazon.

What more do I need?

If I want my most secure setup I open up my copy of Opera and use it in its VPN mode. Cost? Zero.

If I just want to kick around the net I use Firefox and/or Chrome but with some added security from Ublock Origin and maybe Web Of Trust. Cost Zero.

Why should I pay?

you are buying directly from amazon and not a used product or one from a third unknown party on their site.

I really do not think that there are any risks, while Amazon check all the vendors before they are presented on the website
