Security problem in IE

Apr 27, 2005 11:22PM PDT

When I open a new IE window, two windows open up. One is the window I wanted, the other is something like "randomsites" or "oldgames" or some site offering sex.

I had neglected to update Windows (I am running XP home edition) for a long time, and have since made the update. But whatever it is that causes this annoying problem is still on my computer.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

That's spyware and a common issue.

Switching to Mozilla has solved the problem.
