Security for file gives itself an unknown user

Mar 4, 2004 1:01AM PST

System: Dell (nothing special) running XP Pro.

A user on this standalone machine told me they couldn't access one of their folders. I checked the security permissions on the folder, and her access was gone. However, the administrator group was allowed access (as it should be), but the following "user" was also listed:

S-1-5-21-052111302-484763869-839522115-1007

There were question marks over the icon for this user. I have no idea what this means. Is this the system giving itself permissions to access the folder, and if so, why? Thanks to anyone that can shed some insight!
