Must it be on a Mac?

In reply to: security camera management program?

I've done this setup hundreds of times on a PC. Will you pay the Mac premiums for being the first? ie. many thousands?

Hope someone finds another solution.

we were just looking at some servers and were considering a mac server, which is why we were checking the availability of software. if there isnt any we can easily go pc. it was just a possibility

Investigate Security Spy

In reply to: security camera management program?

I have only just started to look into doing the same thing you are describing, and came across security spy, @ www.bensoftware.com/ss. It seems to do what you want, and has gotten some good user reviews.

MAC recording solutions

In reply to: security camera management program?

There is nothing purely MAC based that can compare to a PC based security recording solution. If you are willing to use a PC as the network video recorder you should check out Exacq they are the most MAC compatible NVR provider out there. He is a page with them along with a few other network video recording software providers
