Security Alert:Xfinity Voice Command for Wifi Password

Does anyone else think Xfinity is crazy to put "What is my WiFi password?" as a voice commands for their remote? Do I really want any random person that comes into my home that has a moment alone with my remote to know my WiFi password? Repair men, cleaning people, visitors? I think this is a security risk. Do I want people to be able to hack my network because my remote helped them, especially in a world that has more & more connected devices?

I just saw that too in their email to me...

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to block that voice command. Or else my kids will have a field day with it--unlocking stuff. Grin

Have you tried it? I'm going to try it tonight and see what happens.

Thanks Pepe!

Man this has been around that long? I guess this is the first time they mentioned it in their newsletter.

Comcast is a behemoth unfortunately.

I also upgraded rather early, then I upgraded the cable box to a 4k version right when the winter olympics began. Some of my houseguests discovered that ‘feature’ <ahem>.
