Are there currently any viruses or malware that can go undetected by McAfee antivirus program?

That's an easy yes.

There is always something new that can slip by.

But here's the usual reason. Folk INSTALL the bad thing. Let's say you get an infected web broswer download from a bad site. The new trojan is unknown to all the antivirus apps.

This is the current state of affairs today.

It's a constant game of cat+mouse.

New malware is sent out to the web.

The anti product vendors find it and create a def file to detect it.

Until you load that def file your open.

Wash, rinse, repeat.
