I am setting up an office network between two computers running Windows 10. The network is needed to share files between these two computers, and it needs to be secure. Right now, both computers are connected to the office wi-fi network, but not to each other.
In addition, we need visitors to be able to (continue) to access the existing wi-fi network. These visitors must not be able to access the office computers and the file sharing.
I am new at this, and I am sure this is a pretty basic question, but any pointers are greatly appreciated. I know it's possible to set up a wi-fi network between the two computers, but don't know how safe it will be if visitors are able to access the same wi-fi network. I also know that using an ethernet cable may be an option. (Perhaps more secure.) For instance, if we go with the ethernet cable option for file sharing, I assume we can still run the wi-fi network for visitors?
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
