Question

Second Monitor Static

I recently connected an old TV to my computer to use as a second monitor. It's connected to a display port via an HDMI adapter. It works for a few minutes, and then the screen changes to multi-colored lines/static. Any ideas?

I don't see model numbers on the PC, TV and adapter. It's one of those items.
