Is it safe to delete items that show up in my search folders? Or will that delete the items completely? I'm not crazy about or understand Vistas searches. The same things show up in the same search folder even! How can I get it to not do this?

I tried to delete something simple....a picture. It deleted it from my files. I guess that answered my question. I just wonder if the searches are taking up memory or space (whatever it's called) from my pc? Thank you for the help though

As Papa Echo hinted at, if the two items have the same path and you delete the item from search, you will have deleted it from your computer. If they have different paths, then you should be okay deleting the item from search and still have the item saved on your computer. Also, check out this resource for better understanding of searching in Vista - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Find-a-file-or-folder
