Make sure your folder is indexed. In Windows 7 only files and folders that are indexed will show up in the Start menu search. Are you using libraries? If you do, your folders will be indexed automatically meaning you should have no problem finding them from the Start menu search. I'm unable to search with either my Vista or Windows 7 computers the way I want. I can't seem to get it to search for folders. I type the name of the folder in the search box and it brings up programs or individual files. What setting do I need to change to have the search be more like XP?
