After the machine comes up clean I'd use IE's Reset Defaults button to set the browser's search engines to stock.
Also, I never use those but head to google.com, duckduckgo.com

So, I'm trying to fix this computer for someone. The only thing wrong with it was that an adobe message kept coming up on internet explorer. I believe it was flash player. I eventually got rid of the message. I then ran some antivirus programs, antispyware, etc. As these programs were running, I noticed that all search engines stopped working (google, bing, yahoo). I can go to all of them but when I search for something, it goes to a blank, white page. I'm not sure of the programs got to finish running, but I'm back to fix it again and will run these programs again.
Just wanted to ask you guys if you think this is a virus or spyware problem or something else. In the mean time, I will run these programs again.
