I will share I don't use said AVG tool bar. Like some I uninstall all toolbars except a select few that work. And when they don't work, I uninstall them!
Something changed and I don't know how to get it back. I have AVG Virus protection (free version) on my computer and I have had for some time. About a month ago, I noticed when I type words to search on into my toolbar at the top of my internet page (where you would type in a web address), the search engine would do its thing and give me a list of possibilities. This search engine now has AVG in the upper left hand corner. However, when I click on a website, the page will not load and I get an error message (unable to go to site, check address, etc). If I go to google.com and do the same thing, I am able to link to the website.
So what's the difference between this AVG search engine and google? Is there a way I can have google be my default without having to go to the google website first? It's a habit to just type in something at the top of your page...then a pain in the neck when I have to leave it, go to google.com, and do it again. What happened?
Thanks for your help.
