TVs have so many limits on drive format/partitions and video encodings that you see screams for help all too often. The fact the 64GB worked tells me you might not be able to use exFAT. Try FAT32. Yes you lose disk space and there's that nasty file size limit but it's not a PC is it?
Research that WDTV box for something better than most "Smart" TVs.

I bought a Seagate Expansion 1TB that is compatible with Windows but I have a Macbook Pro.
I reformatted it via Disc Utility so I could put files on it to watch on my **** Smith TV (Australian brand). However, when I put the .avi files on and then plug it into the TV, it doesn't work.
I reformatted it again to exFAT and it still doesn't work.
I used my dad's 64GIG SanDisk USB and it works.
What should I do? Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
