If you plug it directly into a USB-port of of your PC, does it see it and can you access those files? If so, the immediate problem is solved.
And just asking: where's the backup of the data on that external disk? Not having a backup means you don't mind to lose it.
Hello, and thank you in advance for your interest in this topic...
TLDR: I can see the drive, and even navigate through the folders, via my Linksys router, but it does NOT show when trying to map network harddrive.
Story: I purchased the drive some time ago and set it up to work while plugged in to my router, via USB. It worked great! And I have many folders and files on the HDD.
I moved, and put it into storage for a while...
Now I am trying to pull files from the drive again. I plug it into my router, and my PC cannot find it, no matter what I seem to be doing....
I CAN, however, see it in detail from logging into my router. I can even navigate the folders on the drive from my router settings.
I'm at a loss... I cannot figure out for the life of me how to access the folders from my PC.
