se w850 or w10 unlocked?

does anyone know if the sony ericcson w850 or w810 is unlocked for t-mobile? im with t-mobile so i want to make sure that i will be able to use all of the feature like the internet and picture messages. anyone know?

i have the w850 unlocked from a site i bought it. it works for cingular , t mobile , rogers , and a few other networks fine. i tried using my friends t-mobile sim card and it worked.

where did you get it

If you got it from a carrier, the phone would be locked to that carrier. I don't think you can unlock a carrier phone easily......not in their interest for you to be able to switch between carriers easily.

OEMS do sell unlocked versions of their phone though, if that is what you are seeking.

Unlocking a T-Mobile phone

If you have been with them for 90 days just dial 611 on your handset. Get to technical assistance and request an unlock. Yes, it really is that easy. I have them unlocking my new v3t (I have been a customer for 2+years now and had the new phone for a week)
