SDHC card recommendations for Canon Vixia HF M30 camcorder

I just bought a refurbished Canon Vixia HF M30 camcorder from Canon on line. So far I'm very pleased with it. It has 8 GB of built in memory. I'd like to add a memory card to it but I'm finding conflicting reviews on just about every brand I research.
Canon's HD Camcorder Quick Guide on page #48 only says SD or SDHC memory cards up to 16GB. It does not list compatible brands or make any suggestions about brands.
I want to use an 8GB card with a class 10 rating. Perhaps a class 6 rating might be a better choice? I don't think so, but I'm not sure..
I searched the forums but this question is not answered specifically anywhere. Can anyone make a recommendation of one brand over another? Is there a brand to avoid for this camcorder? I've checked on line for reviews and it seems that even premium brands such as San Disk get mixed reviews. The other area of concerns is my desk top computer. I use an Apple I Mac and would love to just insert the card into the computer to have it read without having to plug in various cables etc.
I'm sure that there's someone out there with a quality suggestion for which card to buy.
I appreciate any comments pro or con about which card to get.
Thank you,

"** 1920 x 1080 movie recording requires a Class 4 or higher memory card."

The Canon site does not show any reason to go beyond this class however folk do that all the time hoping for, well, I'm not sure.

Canon also notes what it takes to plug content into the Apple.

Bob,
Thanks for the reply. I read the class 4 part in the manual. I think that maybe a class 6 might be a bit better.
Who knows??
However, I'm still at a loss to decide which brand (manufacturer) of sdhc card to get.
That was more of my concern than the class but I really do appreciate your reply..

As far as make.

If speed matters I get the usual names. If it's just some storage I buy unbranded.

Made a decision

Sunday,
I decided on using an 8 GB Class 10 Lexar Platinum II series chip.

I had a chance to try another Lexar ( class 6 ) in the Canon and it worked very well.
Based on that and my experience with using the same brand chip for my digital still camera,
I went ahead and ordered it.
