SDHC card

I was curious what the difference is between the SDHC cards AND which ones are the best? I am looking at getting the Cannon SX20 IS and wanted to make sure I get the right SDHC card for it. Thanks, M

All SD cards are built to the specifications of the SD Card Association.

SanDisk is the largest maker of all types of memory cards, including SDHC. That brand is available in just about all retail stores.

But any name brand card is fine.

Be careful if you buy memory cards on eBay.
There have been reports of counterfeit cards.

Since the Canon SX20 IS is capable of HD video, you do need a high speed card. If you buy a SanDisk card, they call their high speed cards Ultra or Extreme.

Other card manufacturers will call their high speed cards Class 6 (or higher) or 40X (or higher).
