Thanks Sektionschef and R. Proffitt for that illuminating info. I'm very fussy about correct dates and times on my photos/ videos etc, I'm now worried that all the EXIF etc data I've used in programs like Bulk Rename Utility might be wrong. (That is assuming the camera date was set correctly in the first place!!). Can I take it that it is just an hour out, or can it be greater?
I'm not sure if NOT using DST would help? I'm not exactly a big global trekker, but I do visit the USA (from UK) regularly and have often considered if I should set all my time to GMT (or whatever it's modern equivalent is), as I've also noticed Outlook does strange things, say you are in the USA, laptop set to USA time, make an entry. Go back to UK, back to GMT, and Outlook shifts the time by 5 hours. So now, when I am abroad, I switch off auto time update, give my zone as UK, but with USA time. These computers were supposed to make life easier!
Sektionschef - Thanks for the link to the latest version. I was worried you had disappeared, as all the previous links I had for SDcopy and from forums were no longer valid.
