Question

SD or HD camcorder - what are the other differences?

Jul 9, 2011 12:13PM PDT

I am going to Alaska in a week and have decided to upgrade from my old camcorder. Typically, I would just be filming my kids. I don't have an HDTV and not sure when I will get one. I like how much more zoom there is in the SD and the price doesn't hurt either. Is it worth the money to buy HD now? The salesman only mentioned picture difference. Is there any other differences? And I guess my main question is: How much of a difference is there in picture quality between the standard def. & high def. cameras?

Thanks for any help Happy
