Question

SD or HD camcorder - what are the other differences?

Jul 9, 2011 12:12PM PDT

I am going to Alaska in a week and have decided to upgrade from my old camcorder. Typically, I would just be filming my kids. I don't have an HDTV and not sure when I will get one. So my question is: How much of a difference is there in picture quality between the standard def. & high def. cameras? I like how much more zoom there is in the SD and the price doesn't hurt either. Is it worth the money to buy HD now?

Thanks for any help Happy
