SD Micro with Adapter

Mar 9, 2011 3:39AM PST

I bought a An Adapter with SDMicro. When I plug it into the computer(desktop), the computer does not recognize it. I also have a 64MB SD Micro. When I plug that one in the computer recognizes it. I took it to Visions and they tried it on a laptop and the format dropdown menu came up. I am using Windows 7 now and it still does the same thing. Where is the formatting software located as I can't find it?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

YES!

I've found these very small and very large cards to have issues.

Try the workarounds such as an external USB media card reader and be sure the OS supports 64GB cards.

I'm guessing that it is not 64MB since the micro SD cards didn't show up at that size here.

What about the reader.

Does it supports SDHC (higher than 2GB). In the old day that's as high as it will go.

Card Reader

I think you are absolutely right. When I check in the advanced properties for the card reader, the smaller sdmicro shows up but not the 4gb. Would it be advisable to put in a new card reader as my computer is already 5yrs old. Works great still but will probably upgrade in a year or so. The smaller sdmicro is the one that works and it is a 64mb, made by LG with the adapter. The 64mb card works with both adapters.
