SD importing issues

I'm importing 4k video in mov/mp4 on 64gb transcend sd from my Panasonic GH4 using windows photo gallery and i've been able to import a small amount of footage but, majority of the time i'm getting "the following error occurred while importing ###.MP4: The system annot find the path specified." then i'm forced to format when i put the sd back in my camera and i'm also getting "you need to format the disk in drive E: before you can use it" on my pc. I've formatted a couple of times now i'm still getting the error (i've downloaded the codec pack). Really struggling would appreciate any help

Another idea.

While I agree with Kees something sounds off with that card, did you try copying this file to your PC's HDD and then importing?

Copy to desktop

Copied the files to my desktop and was able to import in premiere pro like a charm, thank you, but was unable to import on photo gallery because i have no device options other than when i have an external device like a usb plugged in

1 step forward.

As to the photo gallery I worry the app is a dinosaur if it can't import from the local HDD. What if the pictures were from your web cam? Sounds to me it's time for a better app.

Re: SD card issues

Does it work with another card? Then something is wrong with this one.
