My Desktop Computer is a Acer Aspire,Model AM 1201 with build in Card Reader.When I check in Device Manager it tells me that everything is working properly.The Card Reader just stopped working.With the SD Card in place the computer tells me to insert removable Disk.I also checked to update the Driver but it tells me that I have the right Driver.Please help.
As I read http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/desktop/0000/Acer/AspireM1201/AspireM1201sp2.shtml
I see no mention of SDHC support. It's a shame you didn't tell more detail. Such as the 4GB SDHC card you attempted to use.
Fix? Use one of those few dollar USB memory card readers for that.
Here's one of many -> http://www.amazon.com/Mini-Memory-Card-Reader-Writer/dp/B000FNDWLQ/
That's under 2 dollars to my mail box.
