SD card clarification needed please

May 14, 2011 9:28AM PDT

a) if a 32gb sd card on ebay auction states "not upgraded card" what does that mean?

and

b) what do the different "classes" of a card mean? if i am in usa and just want to store pics, music and data long term, and be able to swap them from one device to another, does it matter what class i get?

and

c) a nurse forced my sony memory stick duo into my toshiba laptop that does not read sony! so i lost tons of pics of my only babys first days alive Sad !! is there any way to recover this data that wont cost me $400?

a) never heard of that. Maybe you should ask the seller to clarify.

b) "class" referred to speed, the higher the number the faster it is. That's why a 10 cost more than a 4. As for swapping, it probably would have no problem swapping unless your device specifically require a high speed one.
