"Script movie causing Flash Player 9 to run slowly".

Aug 19, 2009 12:06PM PDT

A recent problem in the last few days...every time I open my web browser my machine is slowing down tremendously and I eventually get this message:

"A script in this movie is causing Flash Player 9 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?"

I'm using a Macbook Pro, Safari Version 4.0.3 (4531.9), and OS X v. 10.4.11.

Any ideas on how to remedy this?

Yes, that's right.

Thanks.

I did the same search, yet I see no one offering a clear solution/fix presented in laymen's terms.

About the only thing I do online is check e-mail, do a few google searches and maintain my flickr page. That's it, yet I'm getting this crazy message and, ultimately, I have to close the browser and re-open it again...and over, and over again.

Then why not uninstall Flash?

Then it won't be able to do that.

Sadly this is not up to Apple to fix. It's from Adobe.
