Dec 4, 2012 10:52PM PST

Hello

I have a Samsung series 8 led tv with a usb wireless lan adapter connected and a Samsung series 9 laptop (windows 7) how can I share my screen to my tv wireless?
Tried different things but I can't get it to work, I downloaded the Samsung pc share manager what is nice to stream pics movies etc stored on my laptop but that is not what I was looking for.

Hi peter-curacao,

I can see what's possible. Can you please give me the complete model codes for both devices?

Hi peter-curacao,

You're in luck. Your laptop has WiDi, which is an Intel technology that allows your TV to act like a monitor wirelessly. You'll need some additional hardware (Samsung doesn't make any) to connect to the TV, but your laptop should work just fine. Here's more info on WiDi: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/intel-wireless-display.html

As far as the screen sharing for the S3, I think you'll be out of luck, as the only app that allows for screen sharing that we make supports 2011 & 2012 TVs. And you own a 2010 TV. Sorry!

Hi peter-curacao,

If you'll look again, you'll see that it's that those things include WiDi as a source. So you could have a wireless connection from a PS3 to the TV if they both supported WiDi. As your TV doesn't, you'll still need the adapter. Look under the list "Adapters compatible with Intel® Wireless Display".

Hope that helps!
