Screensaver won't start automatically

Aug 15, 2008 8:39AM PDT

I have a Dell Inspiron E 1705 Laptop with Win XP and SP2. My screensaver has stopped turning on unless I right click the desk top, hit Properties and go to Screensaver and then it works until the next time. How can I set it up to turn on automatically as it always used to.

Run regedit then go to these areas to see if they exist - delete all; They intercept calls to screensaver start. Check for this under all ControlSet(s).
DO NOT DELETE RCV2 key, because this is the true call for screensavers.
