Screens

I'm trying to determine what kind of display I really need. What is the difference between a 15" XGA, a 15.4" WXGA Widescreen, 15.4" BrightView Widescreen, and the 15.4" WSXGA? I am not planning on ever using my laptop for watching DVDs, would it still be worth it to upgrade to the better screens for everyday web surfing and Microsoft Office or just a waste of money?
