And you've checked display settings? What OS? CTRL + - no effect? A little more system info might help.

Hi,
I'm using XP with a Dell Inspiron . I checked settings and it says something about a driver and then says that it was started with a default VGA driver. I tried getting into the device manager but I can't get that either.

I think you nailed it.

With the VGA driver it would look huge.

Given the sparse details I think the fist step is to make sure your files are safe on your backups (one backup copy is not backup!)

Then I'd follow Dell's instructions for the machine's drivers.
