Screen size modifications

I have done something to cause every window that
opens up to be tiny!!!!!! I looked this up on this
forum, and tried to follow the instructions, but it
didn't work for me. (Clicking on a desktop icon/run?)
My computer may be possessed.

I have Windows XP, and I'd like each screen and
folder to
be maximized when it opens.

Please help me. If there is another place on the forum I should look, please give me a link to it.
Thanks in advance.

(Clicking on a desktop icon/run?)

1. have you considered the right-click for a Desktop icon, and then selecting Properties?

2. Is the action for the Run: option set to what you want?

Richsgirl,

If the windows you are referring to are normal Windows, have you tried "training" the window to open maximized? Open the window, then maximizing the window, then click on the middle "box" in the upper right corner to "minimize" the window to the task bar. RIGHT click on the minimized window in the taskbar, choose "Restore". It should go back to the maximized form. Do the same thing again, minimize the window to the taskbar, but this time, press the "shift" key while RIGHT clicking on the minimized window, choose "Restore". Do the same thing again, minimize the window to the task bar, but this time, hold down the "Ctrl" key while RIGHT clicking on the minimized window, choose "Restore". Close the window by clicking on the X in the upper right corner, then open the program window again. It should open maximized.

If the windows you are referring to are Internet Explorer Windows, did you try the instructions at the link below?
