Screen Shot Problems and Quirk?

Recently I tried to do a screen shot using an Apple+Shift-key+4. Got a large, kind of bulls-eye circle instead of the marquie + sign.
First time I have ever seen this.
Thought about it and solved the problem after going back to Quark Express.
I had cap lock on. Anyone ever had that problem before?
If you have cap lock on there are a whole host of other problems in Quark such as the control key magnifying function.
Any other Quirkey problems with CAP LOCK ON?

Seems to be problems besides with Quark Express.
Please name the apps and problems with cap-lock on.
