A frend recently sent me an alert message about Venezuela's President Chavez and his threats to destroy America and WARNING me that buying CITGO gasoline went directly to that wholly owned company by Venezuela. A picture of Chavez and Cindy Shehan ( the Bush Ranch Protester) were included, but NOT the famouse Fenway Park Citgo Logo. I sent the message to some of my friends. NOW THE FUN BEGINS. following the traffic in that message I get the Fenway Park CITGO logo appearing as a screen saver, complete witha quiet littl buzz. . . I have never had a screen saver. . . but I do now , or DID. . . because I went inspecting in the DISPLAY department of MY COMPUTER. . sure enough in Screen Savers, clearly labled was CIGO LOGO and it was "selected" ... Isn't That cute. What a cool advertising trick. I found one other "foreign" item, The Corel Photo album 6. not selected... probably referred to in a part of that program I haven't read. This was a very benign event. Thought my CNET buddies would find it interesting.
