hey i need to know what you have done before i can start to come up with some reasons for this, a way to fix this is to go into control panel and make sure the screen saver is on and power saver is off.

My screen saver has been working fine, then I installed an hp photosmart printer. called HP and they helped me to get rid of the opening screen that I had to click on administrator, but if I leave the computer instead of my screen saver (I check on control panel and screen saver is checked to start in 11 min.) the administrator screen is showing not my screen saver. Hope this makes sense, I'm new to the computer.

...that after the computer is idle for 11 minutes, the Administrator log in screen comes up instead of the screen saver ? And this after the installation of the HP printer ? What if you uninstall the printer ? Does your screen saver still work ? Do you have SP2 ?
