Screen resolution

Help please
I have just installed WXP PRO on a new (bigger) HDD in my Compaq D51SP225 computer but the screen resulution cannot be increased in control panel -- display.
I think I need a video driver but cannot install the internet connection because of thw resolution problem.
All is well with this HDD. Can I download a suitable driver from the web to a CD or transfer this driver to a CD?

Yes. On Another Machine

friend/family/public library/Internet cafe, go to the Compaq/HP site
and enter model name & number of computer & click for drivers. Seek latest Video drivers for your model. Download & save appropriate to USB Flash drive or CD to transfer to your machine. Will be an .exe file

Mines HP but since the merging... I used this link for main entry:
http://welcome.hp.com/country/ca/en/support.html (substitute "us" for
"ca"? or Google). Happy

Note: If using an Internet Cafe in particular, be sure to right click scan download w/ A/V & A/s software before opening!! Not problem from site but rather possible infection on cafe machines. Sad

Download drivers on another machine

On another machine, go to the PC manufacturer's website and download the appropriate drivers for your system. Save those drivers to either a CD or flash drive. Install drivers on your machine. Once the graphics card driver is installed, you should have no problem changing the screen resolution.
