Buy a security/privacy type screen protector. -OR- fashion a plexiglass cover if you like or real glass and some holder.
As for LCD and CRT monitors, each is superior in thier own way. However, LCD is far better in text and/or plain viewing but is rich in color when doing any displays. It just comss out better. However, alot of good displays relys on the product itself, the cheaper it is expect a lesser degree of clarity, etc. but CRTs have been around so long even a cheapie does quite well(for how long). The LCD will be the basic viewer in years to come as Vista and other OSes demand more and basically get the job done well. So spend the money when it comes to a LCD especially a namebrand in order to get the best viewing.
My computer use is pretty much general book keeping and correspondence plus video editing and working in PHOTOSHOP. I would love to go with the space saving of an LCD monitor when it is time to upgrade/replace but they tell me CRT is still superior for photo editing. Opinions?
My second problem is my wife's cats. One of the nine loves to watch my screen as I work and often tries to "catch" my cursor. Not a problem with the CRT but how do I protect the LCD from little tiny claws the engineers never considered.
