Screen Print 32 - unable to paste capture

by rdreilin / November 9, 2009 12:16 AM PST

I use Screen Print 32 at work and absolutely love it so I downloaded it at home but when I try to paste the capture in an email or ms word document, it is blank. Would anyone have any suggestions on what is wrong? I did nothing different with the download at home than I did at work. I have been unable to find a contact site or number for Screen Print 32 - does anyone have one?

I would appreciate any help and suggestions.

Yes - I am currently on Windows Vista - do you know of another software which works as nice as Screen Print 32

Ahh. Did you know...

That will explain why Screen Print 32 doesn't work with for you. It's a shame because it looks a good utility.

However, did you know that Vista has its own "Snipping Tool"? I didn't until just now. It is in Start > Accessories > Snipping Tool, and I am about to make my own use of it from now on.

At first glance it seems very good at capturing images, but it seems limited in that it doesn't capture text. What I mean is, any text it takes an image of cannot be pasted as text anywhere else. But then, if I see text anywhere that I want to copy, (eg from a web page), I can just drag my mouse cursor over the text, right click and select Copy. Then paste that into a text application or word processor.

There's more on this tool here;
Vista allows you to screen capture a window.

Does that help?

There does seem to be other utilities available for Windows. I searched Google with Vista Screen Capture utility, so if that tool doesn't do what you want, you may have better luck elsewhere.

I hope that helps.
