Does anyone know if there is a way to do a factory reset on this unit without being able to use the touchscreen?

Didn't say that. The buttons themselves appear to be working just fine. It is just the touchscreen that is unresponsive.
Power off, remove memory and if it has it the sim card. If this has a battery, remove that for about a minute to insure we get a full reboot. If the power button and volume get you to the reset (you did not tell the forum it did) and if the screen is non-responsive the device is broekn.
This unit does not have a sim card, and the only memory is the onboard memory it came with. I am unable to restart the unit since pressing the power button just brings up the confirmation screen where you can either turn it off, restart it, or turn on airplane mode. Since the screen is unresponsive I am unable to completely turn it off.
Though to back up a bit, what is the combo in order to reset using the power and volume buttons?
Many models will power off if you keep the power button down long enough.
http://www.hardreset.info/devices/lg/lg-v940-g-pad-ii-101/ notes the usual resets. If neither work, then the device is broke.
Thanks so much. Not sure what caused the screen to become unresponsive, but the first option in your link worked just fine. Thanks.
