The correct one is the one you like the best. Gone are the days of NTSC or PAL when there was one size screen. Many think the industry flubbed the move to HD.
Hope that this question doesn't sound too ridiculous, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
I have a Sony FD Trinitron Wega, Model Number KV-34HS42ON.
There are four screen modes that can be set: Wide Zoom, Normal, Full and Zoom.
I have tried watching movies, regular TV shows and sports on all of the settings and none of them seem 100% correct.
The Normal setting puts black bars on the left and right sides. The Full setting very visibly elongates everything, especially the people. Both the Wide Zoom and the Zoom seem to "leave out" part of the picture.
Is there a "correct" setting for various situations? TIA
