Screen mirroring is far from perfected. I'm at a loss why companies don't admit this. Some end up returning gear over this. If you want to avoid this, get wired and use video links like HDMI.

Hi there,
I seem to be having an issue with my Samsung Smart TV while screen mirroring through Windows 8, the audio seems to lag/jump after about 25-30 minutes, have tested several times and always happens around this time mark, at first i thought might just be a problem with the site i was on, but also tested it on longer YouTube videos which have the same results, have checked in task manager before and after the lag happens and the CPU, memory and disk are all low and not struggling.
At first thought might be to do with laptop connecting over 2.4Ghz wifi (wifi card is not duel band) but the speed tests are the same on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz since i checked using speedtest.net on my phone as well, also most likely would lag right away rather then after 25-30 minutes.
However i did check just in case using Lan speedtest and the MBPs came up as about 80 over the 2.4Ghz to a shared drive.
My current Setup is:
Samsung UE48H6700 LED HD 1080p 3D Smart TV, 48" (fully updated firmware)
HP Probook 4540s (Windows 8.1 fully updated software & drivers)
Virgin Media Superhub 2ac which connects to TP-LINK TL-SG1005D 5-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Desktop Switch then splits off to both the Probook and Samsung TV, all cabling is Cat6.
Download speed is 150MB, upload 12MB
