Question

Screen issue with brand new UE40D8000 :(

I've just bought my new tv and have a question about the screen.

I've noticed that every other horizontal line of pixels is slightlydarker than the next i.e with a white screen starting from the bottom, lines 1,3,5,7,9 etc are a uniform colour and brightness along thehorizontal plane all the way to the top of the screen. However lines 2,4,6,8 etc are gradually getting darker till about 2/3rds of the way upthe screen where there is a noticable decrease in brightness. This creates a gradient effect that makes the top 1/3rd of the screenlook darker and giving the image a canvas texture appearance.

This effect persists on all sources and modes and is noticable at 10 feet away due to the darkening of the screens upper part.

As this is my first 3D tv my question is this. Is this normal for a 3Dtv? or is the panel defective?

oh dear :(

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought it may be a fault but needed to check.

I shall arrange to have a replacement from my retailer.

Thanks for your help Grin
