Screen crashes down

Hi, i have a dell inspiron E1505. Intel centrino 1,66ghz, 2gb ram, intel gma 950 256mb shared memory.
My problem is that when i?m playing the sims 2, like 15 minutes after i start the game, the laptop starts to run really hot and the fans go really noisy. But it?s not only that, sometimes (a lot) the game shuts down and the screen goes black and white and the desktop has all the icons of windows 95. Maybe it?s because i put the graphics in the game at maximum. I would like to know if anybody knows why my computer goes like a windows 95 (in black and white) when i play the sims 2.

Have the laptop heatsinks and vents cleaned then set it on a LAPTOP COOLING PAD to see if the problem goes away.

The fans are clean because the laptop is only 3 weeks old. I havent got a laptop cooler but i?ve tried useing it with the air conditioning in the lowest temperature (extremely cold). I think it could be because its a shared memory graphic card and i?ve got the game on highest graphics. But i still don?t understand why i get windows 95 icons and the screen goes black and white.

Then you put it back to FACTORY CONDITION and try again.

If what you added in causes a problem then it's yours. If it doesn't work with the restore CD and back to the factory settings then you have reason to squawk.
