Scratched xbox 360 games

by shev79 / January 13, 2007 2:17 PM PST

I recently purchased and was playing Gears of War and when one of my friends was going to start a solo game, the system told him that the game was dirty or something. When I took the game out of the system, I saw that it was completely scratched all the way around (in a circle) the disc. I went to Best Buy to exchange it and I found another person there exchanging a game (NBA 2007) with the same problem. Is this a common problem with the 360?

The only way a disc can be scratched the way you describe is if you moved your console when it was running. Did BestBuy replace your copy? Your lucky if they did.

.... If there is a Hollywood Video Gamecrazy in your area you can take the game in for resurfacing. Its something like $3.00 a disc, but it sure beats having to pay for the whole game over again. I used their service a couple of times and things worked out great!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
