Resolved Question

Scheduling scans

Nov 22, 2011 4:58AM PST

I'd like to be able to have a quick scan run automatically every time I boot up my computer but can't find a way to do it. All I can find is how to schedule a scan for a specific time, but some days I don't turn on the computer and when I do it is not at the same time each day. All suggestions appreciated, please

Hello,
This should be possible using the file sched which is located here:
C:/Program Files/Avast/Sched.exe
and put the location of this file into the windows command with the parameter /A:*
If you need further assistance, don't hesitate to contact me again.

Quick Sscan

Hello dperrin22181,
I'd like to know why you want to run a scan each time you boot your computer ???
No scan regardless of how limited in scope is ever really "quick".
Since anything added or changed on your computer is checked for an infection by avast's
on demand scanner before you ever get a chance to use the program what would that so called "quick scan" accomplish ?

It is not necessary lay avast to do an Image refresh

I wonder why you want to make a avast Image refresh everytime you start your pc? It would be easier pragrama you open and put a complete Image refresh, so it updates avast already own the newly installed programs.
